The month of November

November started with the School Concert at the girl's school.

Anastassia acted in an English Drama titled Cinderella Revisited, dia jadi Prince. Pandai jugak budak ni berlakon..... She is also in the Choral Speaking. Unfortunately, Puteri's Choral Speaking in Arabic had been cancelled due to limited time. Frust dia, but then cikgu dia kata masa Anugerah Cemerlang nanti mereka akan perform.....

The concert was a success. Walaupun concert berbayar tapi memang berbaloi la.... everyone had fun. Parents came in droves, with atok and nenek tagging along. On the same day, there was an art demo, whereby 3-4 selected students akan duduk kat bilik Pameran Seni and melukis the whole day. Apa yang dilukis akan dijual and the kids akan dapat hasil jualan tu fully.

Anastassia was chosen to become the artist but due to her involvement with the drama, she only managed to finish one abstrak painting. The painting was later bought by a parent for RM35. Anastassia yg mula2 frust sebab tak dapat join kawan2 dia melukis, merasa a bit excited to receive cash money for a painting that she did. The parent told the teacher that she plans to have it framed.

On Saturday, Anastassia masuk bowling competition..... she has improved a bit but of course tak boleh lawan the pros..... I am now thinking of sending Zaryff and Puteri for basic bowling lessons....

After the bowling tourney, got a call from Sir (Taekwondo) that Puteri can go for grading again this month. What??? 3 gradings in a year is unheard of..... mmm.... is this another Mia in the making..... I asked Sir, tak cepat sangat ke.... esp knowing Sir, who unlike other Sirs, tak suka kasi kids grading cepat2..... Sir kata, Puteri is ready, she's a Super Girl..... (hmm.... macam tu ke...)

On Sunday, as I was packing Zaryff's school bag, I saw a yellow letter addressed to parents. Bertuah betul budak ni, dia simpan aje. Apparently Persatuan Renang Negeri nak buat ujibakat on Saturday - 3 Nov (dah lepas....). Although I have yet to decide whether I would want the kids to join the State Swim training, there's nothing wrong in just participating and see how my kids fare compared to other swimmers right?

After the call I made to comfirm Zaryff and Sabrina's chess class schedule (Zaryff hari2 merengek nak pergi chess class), Helena pikir.... mmm.... boleh ke I handle semua ni???? (Kids boleh handle for sure, esp cuti sekolah ni. )

mamamia, after writing this entry smalam, i terus call Swimming punya State Coach. Dia suruh dtg today 4pm to evaluate Puteri's swimming and Zaryff's diving.

TOday, I have resigned to the fact that this swimming thingy is not possible, since it starts at 4 pm everyday for 3 hrs, 6 days a week. So I'm gonna let go the State Coach punya offer.

So, kids will continue their once a week swimming lessons dgn coach biasa....

Sob... Sob.... (ok Helena, take a grip of yrself!)

ahni, mmg best cerita tu, the story is actually the opposite of the real Cinderella story. They made it into a comedy.

Now at school, the kids dok panggil Anastassia "Prince Charming" hehe

wan shana.... breathe in.... breathe out..... hehe.

Swimming is out. So now managable kut....

I am not happy with Mia's results, so my plans for her during the hols will be my 1st priority.

Yes... we must form a club... hehe... in real life pun, kita orang stick together ... hehe... teruk kan?

fid.... ala bowling and swim tu, biasa kut.....

Its just that to handle all 3 kids punya activities in one shot yg nampak mengah tu...

Hehe... Did I mentioned tat I signed Mia up for intensive Taekwondo training? (Sebab in asrama dia tak ambik Taekwondo) So during the hols starting 17 nov, she'll start her 10 hours of Taekwondo training a week. (Ermmm.... ini Mia yg request tau.... I have nothing to do with this)

Helena,
Last year, I also sent my kids to swimming evaluation on the day as advertised (the pamplet was given by our swimming coach). Many kids turned out for the day and quiet a number was selected (asalkan tau basic berenang, you are in as they will train you later). The coach is from China, special import. Anyway, my kids got lah, BUT, same as you, the schedule was too much. I have one kid in afternoon session for school & the coach told us that morning practise starts at 5am! So, there goes lah. Later I lernt from one of the mom at our usual swimming class that her son also cannot tahan the rigorous training, hence stopped going. But actually quiet a few from our swimming class is still with the team. Maybe if in the next swimming class you can jeling to the covered pool session and see their practise. I noticed that the coach sometimes look at our pool to see ,perhaps, 'potential candidates' to grab.
Anyway, my kids Arts class starts today... ; )

mom of 3.... hey, u really must introduce yrself the next time we meet.

Yes , I know of the trainings at the aquatic. Feb tis yr, all my friends bwk their kids to register. I didnt bec Anastassia was not keen in swimming, Mia is out of the question bec shes away at boarding school and Zaryff and Puteri are still too young.

So mmg plan nak hantar 2008, but didnt realize tat they started end of tis yr. But since anak2 my friends semua State Swimmers, one of them even went International earlier tis yr, so mmg i paham pros and cons training kat situ. Its just a matter of me making up my mind whether I nak redah or not.

Yg i tak tahan is the daily trainings. Macam dah takda life lain pulak. And yes, a month b4 competitions, training will start as early as 5:30am. What else, socializing kat sana, i tak berkenan, budak2 primary dok pandai nak bergf/bf. Itu tak termasuk lagi budak2 bershower dalam bathroom totally naked....

Lagi satu i tak paham, why do we employ coaches from China? I have nothing against them but hello? they dont speak a single word of English, BM mmg tak masuk book la.
So obviously group yg boleh speak their language ajerla yg boleh understand the trainings 100%.

Yup i pun slalu nampak the coach jenguk2 the kids kat tis side of the pool. Which comes the next question. Anak kita ni mcm sama tmpt ajer blaja swim..... hehe
