Double Cuti-Cuti Malaysia

Cuti kali ni, we went all out. Its been quite sometime that we went for a holiday as a family. (Last Nov/Dec holidays tak pergi mana, I was drowning in my projects)

First we went to Genting Highlands. It was a first for Anastassia, Puteri and Zaryff. (Mia selalu pergi, most of the time ikut her grandparents-my dad everytime my dad meeting kat Awana)

The kids had a blast! Mia and Anastassia rode all the thrilling rides. (Terasa pulak Helena dah tua, dulu memang gila naik roller coasters, sekarang jangan harap!) Puteri and Zaryff also had a fabulous time at the kiddy rides. Compared to the other holidays that we had, I would say that ALL 4 kids had fun at Genting. Memangla a great family holiday kat situ. We stayed at the Theme Park Hotel, which is really where the outdoor games are located.

The kids also enjoyed the Snow World. Dapatla merasa budak2 tu main snow. It also reminded me how much I hated snow. Hehe. Before balik, Mia wanted to experience the Pontianak Adventure. Since Anastassia takut, Mia suruh I teman. (I hate hantu2 stuff) I said yes sebab taknak Mia miss out anything. Tapi last minute Mia decided not to. Phew!

From Genting, we drove to Cherating. Stayed at Holiday Villa Cherating. The food there was great! And cheap! After having to pay for RM5.50 for a roti canai in Genting, terasa sangat murah kat Cherating. Even kat R&R on the way to Cherating pun, I borong fruits, munchies and junkies sebab terasa murah sangat. Ha! Ha!

Had a relaxing stay at Cherating. Hilangkan penat, after the nonstop activities we had at Genting.

My brain is still on holiday. So I'll make this entry short this time round. But suprise... suprise.... there are pictures!

Hi Helena,

Glad you and kids had a blast. Genting? Gee! So many people I know went to Genting this hols. So did you experience 'people jam' up there? Ha ha.

I had some visitors from Kenya and we had coffee at KLCC but on a public holiday that day, and whoa! There were like millions of people at KLCC and we actually experienced 'people jam'. Just to get on the escalator was crazy. My Kenyan friends were astounded at the great number of people there just at KLCC!

Cherating is fab for hols with kids. Cheers dear.

Apparently masa pi tu (1st June) Genting fully booked. Hujan pulak tu.

You all looked you enjoyed the trip.

Takut mabuk.....

Seronok kan cuti2 dengan anak2....

bila takut nak naik roller coaster, tu dah tua ke tandanya?? HeHeHe... jiwa masih muda tak pe. Maintain!

mamamia, we went there during the weekdays. Not so crowdedla, if it was, my hubby yg allergic to tempat ramai orang, mesti complain. But he didnt. (He would never go to shopping complexes during sales, pening katanya tgk ramai orang.)

Genting had changed tremendously since the last time I went there 10 years ago!

rose, i am camera shy la..... hehe

Hi Ruby, I was thinking about the same thing! hehe. After I came back, I realized that some of my friends and some of the kids friends went to Genting too. Eh takda tempat lain ke kat Malaysia ni? Hehe. And apparently, one of Anastassia's good friend (and family) checked out of Holiday Villa Cherating the day we checked in. mmm.

You had Kenyan friends over? Wow, you really go international, Ruby dear. It was crowded in KLCC? No wonder lenggang aje Genting tu.... hehe

adiejin, i dah banyak buat dosa kat Las Vegas dulu. Cukup la tu.... hehe

I won US500.... but syukur (?) lost it all again. So no issue with the money.... hehe

minah songeh, you duduk mana? I made booking only a week earlier. Ada few rooms but no choice on the type of rooms.

We arrived at 11am, it drizzled till 1pm. Tapi redah jugakla. Nasib baik kids ok, but me? demam jugak sehari, esp after masuk snow house tu.

kak lady, tak semua rides yg rough. They have rides for all ages. To tell you the truth, this is the 1st time I let the kids (and me) naik rides like roller coaster in Msia. Helena tak caya sangat maintenance orang2 kita ni. (remember sunway lagoon?)

Tapi kat genting ni nampak ok aje.... so merasala the kids naik roller coaster. Tawakal ajela.

Anonymous said...

d, hehe, hope not. I realized that there are few things that I stopped having the pleasure doing, riding roller coasters is one of them.

Still remember the rides at Magic Mountain and Six Flags. Sampai sakit2 badan naik wooden track roller coaster. Hehe.

Another one is minum air gas. Used to drink coke for breakfast everyday dulu2.... hehe

memang best jalan2 ngan anak2 kan? but for myself, susah sikit sbb my youngest masih kecil...baru 9 bulan...

1st time masuk sini. Impressed dgn pencapaian anak2 kak helena. Jenoh baca semua entry dlm blog nie. Hehhehe. BTW, still tak dapat agak Mia masuk SPB mana? TKC? My son kecik lagi and berharap sangat semuanya cemerlang dlm akademik and KOKO and besar dpt masuk sekolah SBP mcm Mia. My sister dulu is from SSP and dia kata dia ada advantage to send their daughters masuk SSP kat cyberjaya sbb mereka mmg ada quota for OLD GIRLS. But then, still kena bagus in academic and KOKO. Huhuhu.. I'm so impressed with your children. Harap2 semuanya success in life.

alex lacey, thx for dropping by. Actually to tell you the truth, this is the first holiday whereby I really could relax. Sebabnya the kids dah besar. Zaryff, the youngest at 7 is already independent, whatmore with Sony PSP in his hands, lagila tak berdecit.

But then the joy of having small children does have its own special moments, so enjoy it as much as possible, the headaches and milk spill and all, coz one day, you;re gonna miss the good old days....

You reminded me of the times our family gi jalan2 and memory yg paling kuat is me cleaning up the kids vomit with napkin and water kat tepi jalan. Yes, my kids LOVE to vomit bila travel, be it a 1/2 journey. Hehe. Kiss the baby for me, ok?

mama ja, thank you for taking the time to read this blog of mine. Thanks for the compliments dear, but I'm just a mom who tries to get her children to study.

Mia in which SBP? hehe.... shhh.... I found out recently that Old Girls ni pun susah nak dapat quota. It seems you (the old girl) mesti active sakan in the OGA. Baru ada chance. But at least their chances lebih la kan. Competition dasyat sangatla nowadays. Imagine last UPSR, 45,000 dapat 5As.

Anak you still kecik. My advise to you (walaupun u tak mintak...hehe)make sure anak you can read like a pro at 6 yrs old. So by the time dia masuk std 1, you (and him) wont have problems with the std 1 syllabus. He'll enjoy school and you only concerntrate on him being able to fit in.

I pun berangan nak my son (only boy) masuk SBP. Infact, I kinda prefer all boys type of school. Mesti best.... hehe....

Helena...aha...kak lady masih ingat kejadian kat sunway lagoon...tapi rasanya kat Genting yang Solero Shot tu pun ade trajedy jugak kan? Akak dengar aje...ntah kabar angin ke tak tau le pulak...

Tapi akak memang takut bebenor naik bende2 yang memeningkan tu...heheh...teringat lagi naik Perahu Ayun kat The Mall...sampai nak menangis dibuatnya...mabuk...nak demam...hahahahha...terok betul

salam,

Bila terbaca you pergi Cherating, terus teringat kat rumah, just 15 minutes from Cherating... glad that your kids had fun time there and dah ada gambar your kids, sure diaorang puashati mamanya dah bubuh gambar kat blog...

Anonymous said...

kak lady, solero shot? Yg mana satu ye? But then my kids tak naik any ride by that name, syukur.... hehe.

Helena dulu mmg suka sangat naik benda2 camni, tapi lately tak minat pulak. Masa kat Genting, I told my kids, my fav ride is always the log, yg dalam air tu. So kat genting, i join the kids la, konon nak experience sama2 ..... Bila log tu standby kat atas rail and nak turun menjunam, mak oi..... menyesal! Hehe.... I'm obviously not adventurous as before.

Seronoknya Helena and family gi bercuti! My hubby is like yours lah .... macam allergic with places where there are lots of people. Susah nak heret dia. So looks like Genting is out for the moment - I pun takut all those rides (ya ya teringat time kat Six Flags and Disney World and what not ..... redah saja masa tu, but that was zaman muda-muda) :P

darling, kali ni cuti best sebab kids dah besar.... so mak dia boleh enjoy with a thick novel by her side.... hehe

LUJ, of u orang Pahang ye.... hehe, peaceful betul Cherating tu kan.... mesti u rindu yr hometown....

Hi QOth, oo sama la hubby kita ye. kadang2 geram jugak bila nak ajak dia gi sales kat shopping complex yg jauh2.....

mmm.... kat disneyland pun pernah ada budak mati kat roller coaster tu kan.....

Well come back! Ohh gi cuti rupernyer....anyway, did U naik the cable car? Its really fun U know. But kesian my maid, sampai pucat muka dia bila part naik tuh.Rollercoaster? no no for me. I tried it once in Genting...rasa cam nyawa di hujung tanduk...throughout the ride, I berdoa cepatlah habis...I had a friend who giler sangat naik rollercoaster. When she was in USA, asal cuti ajer she'll go for rollercoaster hunting di setiap pelusuk USA...U name it, semua jenis dia dah cuba and she really enjoyed it....:(

Anonymous said...

izz,

naik cable car?? eh tak berani la... hehe, like i said earlier, tak caya dgn maintenance malaysian style ni... hehe. The last cable car ride I experienced was in Hong Kong, itupun macam tak confident aje... hehe. Tapi kalau kat US or tempat mat salleh lain, sure I confident. HAHA... teruk ke I ni?

Your friend tu.... macam I aje stylenya..... hehe.

Darling said...

talking about cable car, after 2,3 kali keluar cite pasal cable car terus i tak nak naik dah. kut2 TER... eeeiii ngeri.

mungkin usia makin meningkat so dah kurang adventurous :)

Kak Elle said...

Helena great holiday with the kids eh?dah lama uga tak naik ke Genting we used to book at Awana more quiet and peaceful than at the top...too crowded!!

Helena said...

darling, mmg ngeri naik cable car. Masa dulu2, kat Singapore, naik cable car to Sentosa Island. And then ada kapal lalu bawah tu. Rasa nak berlanggar aje. hehe

Helena said...

Syaze, Berjaya times square? Oh tak perasan pulak Helena kat situ ada.

Masih teringat time kecik2 dulu kat bukit nenas ada cable car kan? Ada lagi ke?

Helena said...

nbk, prices kat genting mmg semua mahal. Even Pizza Hut and other fast food pun mahal dari tempat biasa. I still cannot understand why. Hubby kat sebab tempat tinggi, susah nak hantar. But to me that does not justify, Helena tak dapat terima reasoning tu.

If kat hotels, biasala kan. Tapi tempat biasa, harga sepatutnya sama. Genting or no Genting.

Helena said...

kak elle, are u back? belum kan? still travel lagi kan?

Masa dulu2, when my dad was still working, selalu lepak kat Awana, lama2 pulak tu stay dia. Mia merasa la ..... Ingat lagi dia attached betul kat birds kat lobby awanna tu.... hehe

Darling said...

ye helena, i had d same experience masa kat singapore. yg lagi tak bestnya my bro boleh buat lawak bodoh suruh i bayangkan tiang kapal tu terkena our cable car.. eeii rasa nak berenang je balik dari sentosa island tu hehehe

tapi memang pernah ada cable car yang kena langgar dengan tiang kapal sebelum ni kan?
