Zaryff's homework

Zaryff had problems doing his homework last week. He wanted to go to sleep instead. After school it seems that dia asyik main with his bike, and by the time after dinner, dia dah mengantuk and cranky.

"Zaryff nak tidur!!" he shouted.

"No! You do your homework first. Tadi janji macamana?" I was beginning to loose my temper.

"Zaryff nak tidur! Nak tidur! Nak tidur!"

I carried him to the study room, and sat him next to his school bag.

"Ni mama dah bukak kan bag, cari buku mana ada homework, mama tolong." I tried to pujuk dia lagi.

"Taknak!!!!!" he shouted and started to cry loudly.

"Please la, Zaryff... kita buat homework sekejap aje, lepas tu boleh tidur" I bukak the bag besar2 depan dia.

"Zaryff ngantukkkkk!!!!!" his crying became louder and started sobbing.

At this point, he started to cough....

"Zaryff, jangan nak buat batuk pulak" I said.

He continued his crying and coughing.

"Zaryff, jangan buat batuk macam tu, nanti mun........"

"Uwek!!!!!" Zaryff muntah betul2 dalam beg sekolahnya yang FULL of his school books.

Sigh................

Zaryff can really be charming if he wants to.

They just can't be separated ...........

Waaahh... dirty tactic eh, Zaryff!! Very, very dirty!! Alah, Helena, let kids enjoy life a little - that's what I think. The Malaysian sytem is just too much sometimes. Cian kat Zaryff tu. In the end, tak siap gak homework, kan? Not worth the fuss, I think.

Helena said...

d.... lepas dia muntah tu, terus buntang mata dia. Yes he managed to finish his homework. And actually had trouble sleeping that night.... hehe.

Well, he was playing with his bike the entire petang. Apa tak penatnya. Normally my mom would monitor him, tapi hari tu my mom banyak kerja so terlepas pandang.... hehe

Coincidently, both schools that I sent the kids to, have been identified as school that give the MOST homework in the state. Esp the girls punya school, with Zaryff's school trying to outdo the girls school.

Go figure.

Hi Helena, saw your name in D's blog and being a busybody peeped in.
Your kids are really cute.
Enjoy them when they young, because they make you young.
Homework? I never like them when young, but old days mana ada human rights and my mother standing like Clint Eastwood only instead of a gun, a feather duster in one hand, other hand on her hip, ahhh, that is motivation enough, ha ha.
You have a nice day, Helena. UL.

Aiyo ... what a messy cleanup job it must have been! What happened to the books then?

My elder boy malas buat homework and will find all kinds of excuses. I pulak jenis tak kisah sangat .... sendiri tanggung kalau malas (hehehe, minimising my own stress, actually). My youngest pulak terlalu rajin nak buat homework. Balik sekolah aje terus keluarkan all his books, line up all the homework and tak nak mandi until he finishes all his work. Pun susah!

ala kesian nya ... so wat happen to te school books?

Helena said...

hi uncle lee. thx for dropping by.

Yup I am enjoying life with the kids and their antics, but minus the muntah puhlez..... hehe

I dont remember having to slog with my homework when I was in school, but my kids sure get loadz of them!

Sometimes I need to put my hands at my hips with a rotan in hand, but I'm such a softie, I just could not rotan my children. Did that once, and I ended up crying in my room, i felt so guilty.

Helena said...

hi QOTH, I like that. sendiri tanggung kalau malas equals maknya nak minimize own stress. Haha! Very2 true indeed?

What happened to the books? What do u think. LOL. Luckily all the books berbalut dgn plastic, so tukar plastic. But then ada part yg terkena vomit tu, i wiped lots and lots of times with a wet cloth. His Maths book and Agama book was so bad, it became berbulu, but I kept on cleaning it.

I Told Zaryff, just tell your teacher that you spilt water on it. OMG! OMG! I JUST REALIZED THAT I TAUGHT MY SON TO LIE!!!!

Whaaa..............

Helena said...

kak elle, the book? Helena tukar plastic and cleaned the rest with wet cloth.

Kak elle, just realized that I asked zaryff to lie. Ni kena pikir the next step to do ni.... cant let him think that its okay to lie like that.....

adoi....

Hello Helena. Thanks for popping into my Blog. Baik pun saya ta'jadi hangman in Pudu Jail, ha ha after frightening the lovers out of their wits. They forgot what they were doing too.I have asked you some questions re Jalan Conlay in my Blog.
Would love to hear your answer.
That street name is ringing a loud locheng in my rusty otak, ha ha. I know when young we cycled there.
But for the life of me, even though it rings a bell, I just cannot placed where? And to think my young days big loafer with my friends.
Was it near Gurney Road or Princess road, near Batu road or Kampong Bahru.
I know we had fun that road, but need you to wake me up.
But I did not bring my snakes there, arhaaa ha ha. Keep well, Helena. UL.

Helena said...

uncle lee, you really bring to mind the memories of the old days.... hehe

I've responded to your q in yr blog.

Be good, uncle lee.

Helena said...

sherrina, eh teachers at my children school mmg particular with homework.

My girls school, sapa tak buat homework, (Tahap 2) kena buat the work di corridor.

Zafry's school, kena rotan kat tangan, then buat kerja tu kat corridor. Bila dah habis, masuk kelas tapi takleh duduk atas kerusi, tapi kena duduk kat lantai sampai that period habis.

chop-chop pun ada lagi, jenuh pulak keje Helena asyik nak menyain aje. hehe.

I used to paksa my kids to do homework...tapi kekadang tu kalau diorang penat sangat pun, tak leh nak buat apa gak, because they cannot focus...kalau tak larat, I selalunya suruh dorang tido dulu and bangun pagi2 buat homework tu...yg tu dorang suka plak buat...

Larr...nak mengemasnya dah satu hal...anak kecik akak sekarang dah senang sikit...sebab ayah dia ade rumah...tak payah akak nak jerit2...hubby bukak mulut suruh buat homework aje...terus buat...takde alasan aper2 lagik...heheheh

adoiiiiiii! i dengar pun dah nak pengsan! but my second child pun macam tu jugak..kalau tanya homework 'semedang' tak ada, tapi bila belek buku dia, hah! banyak pun homework! and i've got to bertunggu-bertangga depan dia kalau tak sure tak siap!

My son pun pernah guna macam2 tactic sebab malas nak buat homework. Tapi tak sampai level muntah ni lagi.

Have U heard of the expression 'sampai nak termuntah, dibuatnya....'? Your Zaryff has had enough of homework, gamaknya...

mak lang, nasib baik buku2 dia semya berbalut plastik, so taklah tenat sangat keadaannya. HElena tukar plastic la.... (tapi ada gak yg tenat hehe)

alec lacey, anak u sekolah petang ye?

Anak2 i kalau leka main masa petang, itulah masalahnya. Mula ngantuk dan malam susah nak buat homework. Selalunya petang lepas balik sekolah, mereka akan buat homework. Tapi kadang2 termiss.....

Anonymous said...

kak lady, yela. If our other half menolong, at least it lifts up the burden.

Helena suka sangat bila time hubby monitor anak2 buat homework..... bolehla i take a breather kejap.

Anonymous said...

onde2... hehe nasib baik anak i tak cenekel..... mereka tetap akan beritahu ada homework walaupun my son tu. Sbb cikgu my son akan rotan sapa yg tak pass up homework. So dia takut la.

Haha, kesian dia. Kat rumah pampered like hell. Kat sekolah (all boys school) teruk kena discipline. I LIKE.

adiejin, hehe, bab nangis kuat2 pastu muntah tu, dia ikut perangai hubby masa kecik. MIL pecah rahsia after berbulan2 i wonder to myself kenapa dia suka buat perangai camtu. (Hubby senyap ajer.....)

Rotan hubby dulu boleh tak? hehehehe........

Anonymous said...

mamamia, sebenarnya dia nangis and muntah tu, bukan tactic. But dia menangis sebab he pity himself, kena buat homework time ngantuk2.... anak manjala katakan....

sherrina said...

eh, sekolah apa yang anak kak helena pegi ni? cikgu masih boleh rotan murid. Heran...bukan ke rotan telah pupus dari perkarangan sekolah? :p
